High-Strength Polymers
SLS Nylon PA12
NEW! SLS is an industrial 3D printing process that makes strong and beautiful parts by melting plastic powder with a laser. No support structures are needed, and the printed part’s strength and quality is the same in every direction. Nylon PA12 is an industrial polymer with high impact strength and does not get soft when exposed to humidity like other nylon grades.
Strength: 10/10
Extremely strong and durable, scratch resistant, and not affected by heat or humidity. 20% lighter than PLA.
Infill: 100% solid
Wall thickness: N/A
Appearance: 10/10
Smooth satin finish with excellent surface quality at every angle. Very fine details, perfect dimensional accuracy, and no layer lines.
Layer height: 0.11 mm
Smallest details: 0.3 mm
Colors: Wolf Gray, Matte Black, Coyote Brown, Navy Blue, Ranger Green, Maroon
FDM Nylon PA12
The strongest plastic you can print on FDM 3D printers. Contains 15% carbon fiber for enhanced stiffness and improved appearance.
Strength: 10/10
Extremely strong and durable, scratch resistant, and not affected by heat or humidity. 20% lighter than PLA.
Infill: 25% cubic
Wall thickness: 2.5 mm
Appearance: 8/10
Matte finish with a rough surface feel. Texture hides layer lines but gives slightly lower dimensional accuracy and details.
Layer height: 0.16 mm
Smallest details: 1.2 mm
Colors: Matte Black, Desert Tan, OD Green, Blue, Red
FDM PLA+
The most common 3D printing material for homemade airsoft parts. Usually strong enough for most parts if they are treated carefully, but we recommend using one of our stronger materials if you want to play rough without worrying about your parts breaking. '
Strength: 5/10
Higher impact strength than regular PLA, but still not as strong as nylon. Scratches more easily and not rated for high temperatures.
Infill: 25% cubic
Wall thickness: 2.5 mm
Appearance: 5/10
Shiny surface which makes layer lines and imperfections more visible. Undersides of supported areas have poor appearance.
Layer height: 0.24 mm
Smallest details: 0.8 mm
Colors: Gloss Black
FDM TPU
Great for flexible or shock absorbing parts and nearly unbreakable. The hardness and infill can be adjusted to get the perfect amount of flexibility, from soft rubber feel to almost as hard as solid plastic.
Strength: 10/10
Will never break, but don’t use for something that needs to keep its shape.
Infill: 10-100%
Wall thickness: 1 mm
Hardness: 90A, 95A, and 64D
Appearance: 5/10
Shiny surface which may make layer lines and imperfections more visible. Undersides of supported areas have poor appearance.
Layer height: 0.16 mm
Smallest details: 0.8 mm
Colors: Gloss Black
